Above you may view the scans of this WW2 Cap badge for the 1st Canadian Armoured Personnel Carrier Regiment . In excellent condition with nice age patina, both original lugs intact.
However, among collectors, it has been said that this particular badge has been reproduced, and this could be one of these. Note the shape of the "O" ! The original badge has an oval shape that goes to the top of the "T", the replicas have a round shape. (you may view an original in the WWII category ....

Some History...
The 1st Canadian Armoured Carrier Regiment (1CACR) (also known as the 1st Canadian Armoured Personnel Carrier Regiment) was formed during the late stages of WW2 in the European theatre. It was formed in October 1944 at Tilburg with the original 1st Canadian Armoured Personnel Carrier Squadron as its core.This new regiment was a specialized armoured unit equipped with Kangaroo personnel carriers.
It was the only Canadian regiment to be both formed and disbanded overseas.
