You are viewing a vintage 243rd CEF Battalion WWI cap badge. Both its original horizontally placed lug type fasteners. In excellent overall condition. A clean browning copper badge set with very nice patina giving evidence to its age. A genuine period piece, over 100 years old.


This battalion was raised in Prince Alberta Saskatchewan in July of 1916 and sailed for England on June 2nd , 1917. It was a smaller battalion composed of 407 members. In England it became part of the 15th Reserve battalion, re-enforcing the troops in the line.
