You are viewing a WWI Canadian 22nd Batallion Bi-metal Officer grade Cap Badge. Made of brass with a darkened silver overlay. It has interesting patina. It appears that the silver metal overlay, in this case, the base metal, has darkened with age, or was "camoed" by a previous owner. If this is the case then this badge is an officer grade. A fine example of a field used badge from the proud "VanDoos" regiment from Montreal.
