This battalion was raised in Lambton county in Southern Ontario, with HQ at the town of Watford. Formed during the winter of 1915, the 149th sailed for England on March 28th, 1917. This was a smaller battalion, composed of 457 members. Upon Arrival in England, they became part of the 4th, and 25th, battalions.
