Above, you may view the scans of this WW2 Three River Regiment Cap Badge, an O/R bi-metal composition. In excellent condition with both original lugs intact.


This regiment known at the beginning of WW2 as "le Regiment de Trois-Rivi?res". (The regiment was a tank unit, was reorganized and fought as an English-speaking unit (the Three Rivers Regiment). Many French-speaking soldiers were side-tracked in this process. One of the most famous was Jean-Victor Allard who demanded a transfer from the Three Rivers Regiment to the Infantry. As you may know he became Chief of Defense Staff, during the Cold War of the 1960's, which was also during the rise of the Quebec Separatist movement.(???)
