Formed in 1915. this battalion was raised in St. Jean Quebec. Sailed for England in May of 1915 and was part of the 5th infantry brigade 2nd Canadian Division. Served with prestige throughout WWI in France and Belgium. This badge represents the famous French Canadian Battalion known throughout WWI & WWII as the "Vandoos".
