You are viewing a Canadian 2nd Batallion CEF era cap badge , from the WWI era. An Eastern Ontario
Battalion cap badge. Age darkened copper color with highlights still clear and distinct. Lugs are original and in
good usable order.
The 2nd Batallion was mobilized from volunteers from Eastern Ontario and Western Quebec. Headquarters were at Valcartier, just
outside of Montreal. One of the first to fight, they sailed for England on October 4th 1915 with 1148 officers and inlisted ranks. Upon arrival the batallion was moved to France where they
served with the 1st Infantry Brigade 1st Canadian Division throughout the war...
