Both badges have lug type attachments which are original and in good order. The red square of felt is till present and in good order on one of the badges, the other felt square is missing. Both badges are hallmarked "J.R. Gaunt London".

This battalion was formed by redesignating the 2nd Labour battalion, after arriving in England.
