You are viewing a vintage CEF WWI 206th Battalion collar badge. This battalion was called the "Battalion Canadien Francais". The badge is made of browning copper, with both original horizontal lugs in good order. This is a beautiful design with no chips or dents.
Note the wording is in French, with the British lion holding a fleur de lis. "Bon coeur et bon Bras" (a valiant heart & a strong arm); "D'outre mer" (overseas). This battalion was raised in the Terrebonne area, just north of the Island of Montreal during July of 1916. As stong agricultural and cattle area in those days. However, before going overseas, the 206th battalion was absorbed into the 157th Infantry battalion, the Simcoe Firesters from Ontario. ... Hmm???.
Guaranteed 100% genuine.
