You are viewing a CEF WWI era Canadian 54th Battalion copper shoulder title badge. Made of copper, with lug type fasteners intact, and in good order, complete with no discoloration, chipping or damage to the design features.
The 54th was raised in Southern British Columbia during the summer of 1915. They went off to England on Nov. 22nd 1915. A large contingent of 1147 officers and men. They served in France with the 4th Infantry Brigade 4th Canadian Division. However in 1917 the battalion was renamed the 54th Central Ontario battalion. May have had something to do with atritions on the field.
