You are viewing a vintage WW1 CEF 151st Batallion Cap Badge. This second design by Jackson (maker- left leaf in the obverse) has the "Canada" portion on the scrolling omited. This unusually large cap badge is made of browning brass, with both horizontal lugs original & in good order.


This battalion was raised Central Alberta, with headquarters at Camp Sarcee. 954 members of the 151st sailed for England on December 22nd, 1915. Upon arrival they became part of the 9th, 11th, and 21st Reserve batallions supplying re-inforcements to other batallions fighting in France.

The 151st (Central Alberta) Battalion is one of four units whose glyphs survive on the hillside at Battalion Park in the neighbourhood of Signal Hill, Calgary, Alberta.
