You are viewing a rare WWI era CEF collar badge. This CEF 50th Battalion Collar Badge has both original lugs intact and in good order. It is made of browning copper. There are two styles for this 50th Battalion. I have been told that the leaf style was the one used overseas.

The Battalion was raised in Calgary Alberta and sailed for France on October 27th 1915. They served in France and Belgium as part of the 10th Brigade of the 4th Canadian Division throughout the war.
