You are viewing a WW2 RCAF cap badge. A clean brass example with original horizontal lug type attachments, complete and intact. Also included in this grouping is a period shoulder title, made of heavy felt. These were in a collection.

This badge was typically worn on the blue wedge cap of the RCAF. Made of brass and was slightly "broomed" for comfort, by its previous owner. We often find this type of convex badge. where the back center was pounded, often on a broom handle, (why this process is called "Broomed") so as to reduce the roughness and make the badge more comfortable to wear.
