You are viewing a rare WWI era CEF collar badge. This CEF 27th Battalion two piece badge has each original spinner type attachment intact and in good order. The spinners are of an older construction that may indicate a pre 1900 time, and therefore these mat be militia badges. You may know better. Tell us about it?


This battalion was raised in Western Ontario and Manitoba, with headquarters in Winnipeg. Known as the "City of Winnipeg 27th Battalion". Sailed for England inMay of1915,and served in France and Belgium with the 5th Infantry Brigade, 2nd Canadian Division.
