Above, you may view the scans of this WW2 KC Sherbrooke Fusiliers brass O/R shoulder title. In excellent condition with both original lugs intact, and comes with its cross pin as well.The photo of th cap badge is for info purposes only. It is described as having a grenade with the king's crown superimposed upon the ball within an roundel inscribed "Les Fusiliers de Sherbrooke", surmounted by a beaver and all super-imposed upon a maple leaf; the whole resting on a scroll inscribed "Droit au but".
History; In WW1 this regiment had its origins as an infantry battalion, the 54th Regiment (Carabiniers de Sherbrooke) where it engaged the enemy at Amiens, France. In 1933 it received its present designation as "Les Fusiliers de Sherbrooke". They fought in WW2 and were disbanded at the end of the war. Battle honors include D-Day, Caen, Falaise, among others. The unit was reconstituted as a militia unit after the war.
