Above you may view a very large 1940's era German Reichskreigsflg. battle flag. It is about 6 feet by 10 feet when measured. This flag, made of finely woven wool cloth still retains its non faded distinctive colors. The swastika design has been printed onto the red background, and shows on both sides of the flag.
The most interesting aspect of this flag is the names which are added all over the surface. They are most likely the names of the platoon members who captured the flag. (maybe one of your relatives has his name on this wonderful specimen.) The material has resisted deterioration over the years, and is in near perfect condition. It is nicely hallmarked as well.
