You are viewing a QC era Royal Canadian Corps of Signals Cap badge. It was in service from 1953 through 1968. It is made of white metal over brass and comes with a tang-type attachment. It is a very clean badge still showing its fine design details. An excellent example of these post war badges.
The Canadian Signals Corps was established in 1903, making it the first independent Signal Corps in the British Empire. After the end of WWI, the Canadian Signal Corps was re-designated the Canadian Corps of Signals on 1 August 1921. The unit became the Royal Canadian Corps of Signals in 1922, subsequent to the honor conferred on the Canadian army by King George V. In the unification of the army in 1968 to form the Canadian Forces, the RCCS was reformed into the Canadian Forces' Communications and Electronics Branch.
