Above are the scans for this rare 260th Infantry Battalion CEF cap badge. Made of copper and comes with both original lugs in good order, as well as a faded red cloth backing and original rusty cross pin.
Formed as part of the "Canadian Siberian Expeditionary Force", the 260th was one of the two infantry battalions, as well as a Field battery, and a Machine Company that completed the force. On Oct 11th 1918 (one month before the end of the war) the Siberian Force sailed from Vancouver. These six hundred men joined a British battalion upon arrival in Russia. They served in Vladivostok until June 5th, 1919 when they embarked to return to Canada.
