You are viewing an original vintage WW1 German Picklhaube. It is of 1916 vintage, with a large grey (subdued) colored metal Imperial Eagle cap badge in good order. Also has similar grey colored helmet decorations; correct cockards; leather in good condition, no splits, only slight detaching of sewing and some expected minor edge ware (view scans). This large size helmet is missing its liner. These were the original helmets used by Germany at the early years of WWI. Later in the war the German helmet had evolved into the more well known steel pot style.
