You are viewing the scans for this hard to find bi-metal cap badge and collar set (3 pieces). The cap badge is made of brass and is in excellent condition with both lugs original and intact, as well as the cross pin and red felt backing which was a common feature of this particular badge. The collars are also made of brass, however they are missing their lugs. They still display very well as shown in the scans.
The Midland Regiment of the Northumberland and Durham counties of central Ontario, was mobilized in the spring of 1940 at the town of Midland, The regiment was posted to Prince Rupert on the west coast, as part of the 8th Canadian Division. At the beginning of 1945 they embarked for the United Kingdom. With the war coming to a close, this regiment was, upon arrival, broken up to supply reinforcements for other units already in the field. A beautiful piece commemorating Canada's WW2 history.
