You are viewing a vintage CEF WWI 102nd Battalion Cap badge. This British Columbia badge is made of browing copper, with both original horizontal lugs in good order. This badge has a high quality Indian Head design with no chips or dents. Note this type has no "overseas" motif. Only the C.E.F. lettering at the top... This battalion was raised in Northern British Columbia with headquarters located at Comox on the pacific coast,during July of 1915.T his was a large battalion, consisting of 1007 officers and inlisted ranks. The 102nd sailed for England on June 20th, 1916. They became part of the 11th infantry brigade 4th Canadian Division fighting in France and Belgium.
